October rolled in, and, as usual, in the blink of an eye it is now December and Christmas will be here before we know it! My new schedule has not left much time for reflection, art, and creativity, but I am determined to figure out a way to make it all work....there IS a way, I know it!
Christmas this year will focus on experiences and family time...just BEING with each other. Even as I, ironically, am typing and blogging and buying into cyber deals (insert eye-roll here), I am increasingly alarmed at the pace in which our lives are ruled by our devices and technology. And is anyone else scared of all the times our phones have LISTENED to what we are saying and then inundated us with targeted advertising??? Will our ancestors decades in the future wonder why we sat silently by and let all of this happen??
Perhaps... but that's a problem for another day. For now I am going to continue to revel in the joy I felt having all 5 of my children surround me at the dinner table AND surround my own siblings and Mom on our quick visit to Philly.
Some were not able to join, but were with us in heart and soul for sure.
And one more thing!
Another joyful gathering! HOUSE CONCERT DECEMBER 6 with JUSTIN TRAWICK and the COMMON GOOD. My house- Potluck and Drinks at 7:30, Music at 9. Please message me...or sign up right here on my website and let me know if you can come. It is sure to be a delight!
Wishing everyone a peaceful, happy holiday season. And here's to more art and craftiness in 2020!!
