PAINT. CUT. PASTE. REPEAT.
Bringing back the Art of Decoupage
one image at a time.
Welcome to my world!
DECOUPAGE
The word ’decoupage’ comes from the French verb decouper which means ‘to cut out’. Centuries ago, artisans would cut out their design from paper, adhere to an object, and cover with many coats of varnish, building up the surface to resemble a smooth painted exterior.
By the 18th century the Italians used the same process, perfecting the art and dubbed it 'lacca povera', or "poor man's lacquer". No matter what you call it, I am determined to bring it back one mini canvas, terracotta bowl, and tile coaster at a time!

My pieces are unique in their process, usage, and subject matter. Each facet is so personal that there are no two pieces exactly alike! I am a self taught crafter and artist who soaked up the joy of the creative process at my mother's knee in the late 1960's. My creations are unique and diverse, yet simple. They can bring some light and sunshine into your home or office, are wonderful thoughtful gifts and won't break the bank or your budget!
